The Owls Nest Campground opened in March of 2004. Our goal is to provide a quality camping, living, and stop-over retreat. Our campsites are larger than most with grass, trees, picnic tables, dump stations, 50 amp electrical utility hook-ups, water, sewer, and 67 cable channels. If you need propane, it is available upon request. Our campground also offers two coin operated washers and dryers, a complimentary shower facility, 24 hour cable internet access, and four new cabins. Personal on-site help is available from our office staff and great customers. Ask how you can get get your discount at the NEW CHAMPIONS RV & CAR WASH. Our improvement plans for the future include a gazebo, a group picnic shelter, and expanding our campground here in Junction City and the Manhattan area. We stay fairly full so reserve your campsite today!

We now have a new Kiosk. Her name is Megan. With this 24 hours ATM like machine you can check your account and make payments.

For our customers arriving after the office is closed you can rent our available campsites for overnight stays. Megan accepts credit cards, cash, and checks.

We strive to be the best. We hope you agree. Several convienient methods of payment to include credit/debit cards, checks (with proper identification), and cash.

WIRELESS INTERNET We offer wireless internet for our monthly customers. Ask at office for details. It takes some set up but our system is very secure from outside and unwanted access to your computer. This service is $20 per month.

HARD WIRED INTERNET You can get hard wired internet at your campsite by contacting Cox Communication and giving them your site number. They will bill you directly for this. You can use our hard wired internet service by using our courtesy hook-up in our shower and laundry facility that we call the Bird Bath.

Future Plans

We will be adding several amenities over the next few years. Planned improvements include a gazebo, a group picnic shelter, and expanding our campground in Junction City as well as the Manhattan area.

ON-SITE STORAGE FACILITIES

Located just to the east of the campground is AA Self Storage. We have plenty of large indoor and outdoor spaces that can accommodate boats, campers, and large RV’s.

COMPLIMENTARY INTERNET CONNECTION

Located in the Bird Bath is our Land Line Connection for High Speed Internet. Here you can bring your laptop and connect instantly for your internet needs. Otherwise, located next to the west office door is an internet connection station. Here all you need to is your laptop and a Category 5 cable to our small kiosk and hook up to our high speed access point. If your computer is built into your camper and you have a long enough cable, you can park in front of the kiosk and operate from the comfort of your camper.

FOR OUR LONG TERM GUESTS

We now offer High Speed Wireless Internet. All you need to do is bring us your MAC ID number off your wireless card and we program that number into our system. If you do not want to use wireless, don’t worry, you can contact Cox Communications directly and have internet services hooked up directly to your campsite.

ON-SITE PROPANE BOTTLE EXCHANGE

We offer a 20 and 30 pound propane bottle exchange or purchase for your convenience.

New Cabins at the Owlsnest Campground!

We have added two new cabins at the Owlsnest Campground. These cabins come fully furnished with two small twin size bunkbed style beds and one full size bed with a small twin bunkbed style bed. Also included is a small kitchenette with cooking utensils and dishes. bathroon, and TV. Click on the word "Cabins" on the left for more information and pictures of our new cabins.
